GPG Printing has expanded our sticker production capabilities with a new Summa vinyl plotter from Belgium.
The new machine allows us to produce custom-cut vinyl stickers and labels with greater flexibility, especially for projects that require shapes beyond standard squares and rectangles.
A New Addition to Our Sticker Production Setup
Sticker projects can vary greatly in shape, size, and finishing requirements.
To support more customised requests, we invested in a professional Summa vinyl plotter designed for accurate contour cutting. This gives us more control over how printed stickers are finished after printing.
Instead of limiting artwork to conventional rectangular formats, the cutting process can follow the shape of the actual design.
For example, a company logo, symbol, product graphic, or custom label can be cut around its own outline.
What Can the New Vinyl Plotter Do?
One of the main advantages of the machine is its ability to perform die cutting and perforated cutting.
With die cutting, the cutter follows the contour of the printed artwork, creating a sticker that matches the intended shape.
The machine can also produce a perforated cut, which cuts through both the vinyl and backing material. This makes it possible to separate individual stickers or labels cleanly when required.
Having both cutting options gives us more flexibility when preparing stickers for different applications and methods of distribution.
